How arborist quote leads go from request to a phone call
The same map that carries free mulch drop-offs now carries paid work. A homeowner, strata manager or commercial site posts the job. Only logged-in, vetted contractors can buy the contact details.

They answer the job questions
Address, access, timing, photos, and service-specific detail such as tree height, stump diameter, powerline notices or roof type. Minimum two photos.

It is reviewed and pinned
MulchSpot checks the request, usually the same day. It appears as a pin on the map by suburb and service. Name, number and street stay hidden.

Up to three crews unlock it
Registered businesses pay the unlock fee, get the details, and call with a price. Most jobs cap at three unlocks. Stockpiled bush mulch caps at two. The customer is not obliged to accept. Unsold jobs drop off after 7 days.
Who can buy arborist quote leads
Not the open internet. Not five unknown numbers racing the same lead. A MulchSpot quote is sold to professional operators who already work that industry.
- Maximum of three contractors can purchase any single request, except stockpiled bush mulch, which is a maximum of two. After that, the lead is closed to further unlocks.
- They must be a registered professional business in their industry — arborist, gardener, landscaper, mowing contractor or equivalent outdoor trade.
- They are vetted before they can buy leads. Sign-up collects business name, ABN, address and contact details. Casual, unregistered or out-of-trade users are not the audience.
- Jobs are sorted by distance, so the people quoting are already working near that street.
- The customer’s name, mobile and address stay private until a contractor pays to unlock them.
Arborist quote leads unlock fees
This is what a crew pays MulchSpot to take the lead. It is not the customer’s quote, and MulchSpot does not take a percentage of the finished job. The homeowner pays nothing to post. All unlock fees are GST inclusive.

Stockpiled bush mulch is $10, with a maximum of two unlocks — it is for arborists who already have mulch ready to go. Five services sit at $20. Tree work and emergency callouts are $40. Land clearing is the highest at $60 because those jobs are larger and take more plant. Every price above includes GST.

Photos included with arborist quote leads
A click on a search ad is just a click. A MulchSpot request already has photos or video of the tree, the stump, the pile or the block. Crews quote against what they can see: access, powerlines, drag distance, roof load, chipper setup.
- Minimum 2 photos, maximum 6. Photos up to 25MB, video up to 512MB.
- Clear photos get better quotes — that is stated on the form so customers know why it matters.
- Contractors already on the mulch map are in the area emptying trucks. Quote work sits on the same network.

How many people can obtain the quote?
Most jobs are a maximum of three contractors. Stockpiled bush mulch is a maximum of two. The customer agrees to this on the form: their name and number are released only to contractors who purchase the request.
How do stockpiled bush mulch leads work?
The customer wants bush mulch that is already stockpiled and ready to go. An arborist who has that mulch on hand pays $10 GST inclusive to unlock the lead, calls the person, and tells them the price per cubic metre and when they can deliver. MulchSpot just connects the two. A maximum of two contractors can buy each mulch request.
Do contractors have to be registered and vetted?
Yes. Leads are for registered professional businesses in their industry. Sign-up collects business name, ABN and address. Accounts are vetted before a contractor can unlock customer details. This is not an open noticeboard for unregistered operators. Stockpiled bush mulch leads are for arborists who already have mulch ready to deliver.
Does the customer pay MulchSpot?
No. Posting is free. There is no commission on the job. The contractor pays the unlock fee, quotes the customer, and invoices the customer directly if they win the work.
Is this cheaper than Google Ads?
