Free mulch drop-off points Australia-wide

MulchSpot is the middleman between arborists who need to tip excess tree mulch and people who want a load dumped on their property. There are 1,500+ drop points across Australia.

Standby service: Delivery isn’t guaranteed. Load sizes vary — you get what’s on the truck. You must be able to take a full drop when a crew is working nearby.

Capital cities with active mulch sites

Drop points are live around these capitals (and many surrounding suburbs):

  • Sydney
  • Melbourne
  • Brisbane
  • Perth
  • Adelaide
  • Canberra
  • Hobart

We don’t currently list Northern Territory / Darwin drop points.

How it works

  • Property owners join the free standby list and mark a driveway or drop point.
  • Local arborists open the map when they need somewhere nearby to tip.
  • If you’re a good fit, they contact you about access and timing.
  • You keep the mulch. MulchSpot doesn’t sell bagged product — we connect the tip.

FAQ

Is MulchSpot Australia-wide?

Yes — with 1,500+ drop points nationwide, including the capital cities listed above. Darwin / NT is the capital we don’t currently cover.

Is a free load guaranteed?

No. This is a standby system. Drops happen when a participating arborist has excess mulch and you’re a convenient tip near their job.

How big are the loads?

Load sizes vary by truck. Expect several cubic metres, not a couple of bags. Be ready to accept the whole load.

Where do I sign up?

Property owners use the standby free mulch signup. Arborists use arborist sign up.
